Uisce Éireann (UÉ) Works Supervisor Training Programme has been developed in collaboration with the UÉ Supply Chain and The National Construction Training Campus (Mount Lucas). At the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of:

health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors

the supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safety
-
Uisce Éireann’s minimum health & safety requirements for Capital projects and programmes
-
risk assessments and the need for method statements
-
the management of critical risks faced by the water industry
-
how risk perception, psychological safety, behavioural safety and safety culture contribute to effective safety management on our sites
-
approach to safely manage changes to work on site
-
compliance requirements of UÉ incident management and notification processes
Upon completion of the course, delegates will be empowered to:

carry out effective site communications including inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings, etc.

demonstrate effective leadership and act as a safety role model to workers on site

contribute to effective risk assessment and subsequent monitoring and control activities
-
intervene appropriately when poor health and safety practice is identified
