New Entrant 4 Day

New Entrant 4 Day

The CSCS New Entrant Plant Operator course is an induction course for new entrants.

The course introduces the participant to good practices and provides an opportunity for participants to become familiar with the particular item of plant they intend to operate. The course is delivered over four days by CSCS Approved Training Organisations. Completion of the New Entrant course does not replace the requirement to have a minimum of six months’ experience as a trainee.

On successful completion of the New Entrant course, participants receive a SOLAS CSCS Trainee Registration Card with an expiry date of two years from the date of the course. This two-year period is to enable participants to acquire a minimum of six months’ experience as a trainee operator. This card is non-renewable and in the event of the 2 years lapsing prior to completing, the experienced operator must resit the course.

After six months’ work experience on the relevant plant machine, participants must attend a one day assessment. On successful completion participants will receive a QQI certificate & SOLAS CSCS Card.

The Experienced Operator Course is a one day SOLAS Assessment that will assess both the theoretical and practical competencies of an operator.
