- Course Aims:
Learner will learn how to work safely at all times, complying with Health, Safety and
Environment and other relevant regulations and guidelines
· Follow the relevant jointing procedures and work instructions
·Confirm that the machine is set up and operating correctly, ready for the jointing process to
carried out
·Check that the polyethylene pipe, components and joint preparation comply with specification
·Carry out and monitor the machine operations in accordance with specifications and
instructions
·Achieve joints of the required quality and specified dimensional accuracy
· Deal promptly and effectively with problems within their control and report that they cannot
solve
· Shut down the equipment to safe condition on a conclusion of the jointing activities
·Trainees will be assessed through a practical and written exam
